Daily Feeding Guidelines
HORSES: Feed up to 150g per day, or 3 rounded scoops per day.
PONIES: Feed up to 75g per day, or 1 ½ rounded scoops per day.

How to feed: Top dressed onto feed, preferably split over 2-3 feeds per day.

Lillidale Delta-Summ 50

Lillidale Delta-Summ 50

An emulsifiable concentrate formulation for dilution with water, it can be applied by either a spraying or dipping method.

Containing as an active: Deltamethrin 50 mg/ml.

Delta-Summ 50 is for the treatment of ectoparasitic infestations in camel, cattle, sheep and goats caused by mange mite, lice, ticks and flies.

For external treatment on animals only. For use only as an insecticide.

Contains Deltamethrin and HYDROCARBONS, C9, AROMATICS.Can be administered to animals at any stage of pregnancy and lactation.

Dosage and Administration:

Spraying should require 3-5 litres of diluted product per animal. When dipping, submerge animal for 30 seconds minimum to ensure skin saturation. Submerge head completely at least once.

Mange mites: In cases of infestation use, two treatments no closer together than ten days. A single treatment once every six months is recommended to prevent heavy infestation.

Lice: A single treatment every 6 months provides preventative treatment against lice.

Ticks: Treatment should be repeated as necessary, but no more than once every 10 days.

Flies: A single treatment repeated every 6 to 8 weeks, as required, depending on the degree of the infestation, fly species and weather conditions.

Use – Plunge dips

Charging: The required quantity of Delta-Summ 50 is first mixed in a bucket with a small quantity of water. This is then added to the length of the dipping tank and stirred as the remaining water is added. The first 20 animals will mix the dip and therefore need to be treated twice.

Topping up: If the volume of the dip falls by 10%, the dip should be topped up by adding the necessary quantity of water and Delta-Summ 50.

General instructions: Ensure that the animals are neither tired nor thirsty before treatment. Do not treat the animals during very hot weather.

Use – Sprays

Mix Delta-Summ 50 with a small quantity of water as a premix, add the remaining water. Stir thoroughly. 3-5 L of diluted products is sprayed per animal paying particular attention to sites preferred by the ectoparasites in question.

Precautionary statements:

  • Use only as directed, do not mix with other chemicals or proprietary products. Avoid simultaneous use of Organophosphate insecticides as they can enhance deltamethrin toxicity.
  • Keep away from heat, hot surfaces, sparks, open flames and other ignition sources. No smoking.
  • Avoid breathing vapour/ spray.
  • Wear protective gloves/ protective clothing/ eye protection/ face protection.
  • Wash hands and exposed skin before meals and after work.
  • Use only outdoors or in a well-ventilated area.
  • IF IN EYES: Rinse cautiously with water for several minutes. Remove contact lenses, if present and easy to do. Continue rinsing.
  • IF SWALLOWED: Immediately call a POISON CENTER/doctor.
  • IF INHALED: Remove person to fresh air and keep comfortable for breathing.
  • Harmful to bees.

Lillidale Ecto-Summ

Lillidale Ecto-Summ

A solvent-based, broad spectrum insecticide, suitable for treatments in a wide variety of applications and is effective against flies, lice, ticks, mites and keds.

Lillidale Ecto-Summ can be used to treat a large range of animals including cattle, sheep, goats, camels, poultry and other domestic animals.

It can also be used as a residual treatment in animal houses for veterinary and animal use. For use only as an insecticide.

Dosage and Administration:

Ecto-Summ is formulated for use either as a spray or as a dip. When preparing a dip, mix 1L of Ecto-Summ in approximately 9L of water in a bucket.

Pour the contents of the bucket evenly into 491L of water in the dip tank. Mix the solution with a paddle until it is evenly disbursed throughout the dip.

For residual spray in animal houses, dilute 250ml in 10 litres water and apply liberally.

Dips, sprays and fly control (cattle)

For general cattle dips dilute 1L of Ecto-Summ per 500L of water. If replenishment is needed use the same dilution rate.For general cattle spray dilute 20ml of Ecto-Summ per 10L of water. For fly control, dilute 100ml Ecto-Summ in 10L of water and apply spray along the top of the back of each animal. Spray ½ L of diluted product per adult cow.

Sprays for mites and lice (poultry)

To control poultry mites/lice, dilute 20ml reside in 10L of water and apply by sprayer. Sufficient for 100-200 birds.

After spraying:

  • Ensure treated areas are fully ventilated for 4 hours after spraying.
  • Wash hands, face and any other exposed skin thoroughly after handling and before eating, drinking or smoking.
  • Remove any contaminated clothes and wash before reuse.
  • Ensure the area sprayed is fully dried before re-entering animal housing.

Withholding periods:

Cypermethrin is quickly metabolised and eliminated from the animal’s body, there is no accumulation in tissues.

A withholding period of three days is recommended between dipping and slaughter. No withholding period is necessary for milk.

  • Wash hands, face and exposed skin thoroughly after handling.
  • Do not eat, drink or smoke when using this product.
  • Wear protective gloves/protective clothing/eye protection/face protection.
  • IF on Skin: Wash with plenty of soap and water.
  • IF IN EYES: Rinse cautiously with water for several minutes. Remove contact lenses, if present and easy to do. Continue rinsing.
  • IF SWALLOWED: Do NOT induce vomiting. Immediately call a POISON CENTER or doctor/ physician.
  • Avoid breathing vapour/ spray.

Dosage and Administration One tablet per pigeon, regardless of weight to be placed in the mouth. To facilitate dosing, the pigeon should be held by a second person. The tablet should be gently pushed through the opened beak and throat as far as possible into the gullet. All birds in the same loft should be treated simultaneously to prevent re-infection by untreated birds.
Contra Indications and Warnings For use in pigeons only.
Do not administer with drugs that may cause vomiting.
NOT FOR USE IN PIGEONS INTENDED FOR HUMAN CONSUMPTION.
Birds should be treated when mated and again 3 – 4 weeks later in order to prevent infection of nestlings.
Birds should be treated following transportation to shows or races where they may be exposed to contaminated cages, baskets etc.

Harkers 3 in 1 pigeon treatment is designed to take the hassle out of treating birds with 3 separate medications.

USER WARNINGS: Direct contact with the product must be avoided. Wear impermeable gloves when handling the product. Wash hands immediately after administration of the tablets to birds and after clearing waste from treated birds.
Do not touch the eyes while handling the product. In case of accidental eye contact, wash the eye thoroughly with water. If, after handling the product, irritation develops, wash the affected area thoroughly with water. Seek medical attention if irritation persists.
