HEALTH AND SAFETY

Toxic in contact with skin and if swallowed.

Causes burns. Irritating to eyes and skin.

In case of contact with eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of water and seek medical advice.

 

Wear suitable protective clothing, gloves and eye face protection.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE

ALL ROUTINE DISINFECTION

Following a total pre-clean of housing, floors, surfaces and equipment apply Virucidal Liquid Concentrate at a dilution of 1:300.

Apply through either a pressure washer on a low setting with a wide-angled course spray or knapsack sprayer so as to totally drench all surfaces. Start in the roof spaces and work downwards paying particular attention to corners, cracks, seams and porous surfaces. After a contact time of 15 – 30 mins rinse all areas with clean water.

This product is NOT suitable for use in catteries.

NOT suitable for thermal fogging.

FOR USE AGAINST COCCIDIA (EIMERIA): Initial independent trials show 100% kill after 2-minute contact time at a dilution of 1:190.

Trials carried out in Denmark were as follows.

Dilution 1.5% to 2% (3% in severe conditions). Apply by a low-pressure spray after the livestock housing has been cleaned and sanitised 1 meter up against the walls, floors and all surfaces. Leave for two hours before livestock is introduced.

Dosage and AdministrationOne tablet per pigeon, regardless of weight to be placed in the mouth. To facilitate dosing, the pigeon should be held by a second person. The tablet should be gently pushed through the opened beak and throat as far as possible into the gullet. All birds in the same loft should be treated simultaneously to prevent re-infection by untreated birds.
Contra Indications and WarningsFor use in pigeons only.
Do not administer with drugs that may cause vomiting.
NOT FOR USE IN PIGEONS INTENDED FOR HUMAN CONSUMPTION.
Birds should be treated when mated and again 3 – 4 weeks later in order to prevent infection of nestlings.
Birds should be treated following transportation to shows or races where they may be exposed to contaminated cages, baskets etc.

Further InformationCoxitabs can safely be administered to pigeons during the breeding season; the product has no adverse effects on the condition of the nestlings. In order to reduce the risk of re-infection following treatment, good management and hygiene practices are essential, in particular regular cleaning of the premises to remove pigeon excreta.

DOSAGE INSTRUCTIONSFor oral administration. Dilute 6.0ml (1 capful) Harkers 3 in 1 Soluble in 1 litre drinking water. Offer the diluted solution to the birds daily for a 7 day period. Always make a fresh solution daily. Do not allow the birds to drink from any other source. Precautionary worming is advised 3 weeks before the start of breeding.For oral administration. 1 tablet per pigeon to be placed directly into the mouth. To assist dosing, the pigeon should be held by a second person. The tablet should be pushed gently through the open beak and throat as far as possible into the gullet. All birds in the same loft should be treated simultaneously to prevent re-infection by untreated birds. All birds in the loft should be treated before feeding. At the time of treatment drinking troughs should be removed until 2 hours after treatment when they can be returned to the loft after thorough disinfection.

If de-worming is necessary during the breeding season, the product should be given to the birds in the evening when feeding the nestlings is finished.  Repeat treatment is recommended when the possibility of re-infection is high – at the start of the reproductive period, at the beginning of brooding, when bringing in new birds, etc. Birds should be treated following transportation to shows ore races where they may be exposed to contaminated cages, baskets etc.
