The vaccine also contains 0.00961g/mL of Minimum Essential Medium (MEM) [a buffered salt solution containing vitamins and aminoacids], 0.084g/mL of sodium hydrogen carbonate, 0.00121g/mL of tris-base, 0.058g/mL of sodium chloride, 0.342g/mL of sucrose and 0.0189g/mL of dextran – FP40.

INDICATIONS
For the prophylactic immunization of camels (Old World camels and New World camels) against camelpox.

VACCINATION PROGRAMMES
For camels (Old World camels and New World camels) of all ages, but preferentially used in young animals 6–9 months old to provide individual immunity against camelpox.

DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION

DIRECTIONS FOR PREPARATION OF THE VACCINE
Reconstitute the freeze-dried material in sterile distilled water, 2.5 mL for single dose.

RECOMMENDED DOSE AND SCHEDULE
first dose and a second dose after 4 weeks (booster). Each dose of 2.0 mL should be administered by the subcutaneous route under the skin on the animal’s shoulder observing aseptic precautions.

An annual booster immunization is required 1 year after last booster.

CONTRA-INDICATIONS AND WARNING
Occasionally a small swelling at the injection site is observed as well as fever for 1 day, only. Such reactions are self-limiting within 48 hours.

PHARMACEUTICAL PRECAUTIONS AND STORAGE

DESCRIPTION
This vaccine contains inactivated, adjuvanted strains of Avian paramyxovirus type 1 virus grown in embryonated chicken eggs. It is presented as a liquid form and each mL contains 320 Haemagglutination unit / ml of Avian paramyxovirus type 1 strains. The vaccine also contains 0.003g/mL of Tris base, 0.0002g/mL of potassium chloride, 0.008g/mL of sodium chloride, 0.000006g/mL of β propiolactone, 0.012g/mL of Aluminium hydroxide and 0.012g/mL of Magnesium hydroxide.

INDICATIONS
For the prophylactic immunization of avians against Newcastle disease.

VACCINATION PROGRAMMES
For birds of all ages, but preferentially used in young birds of 4–6 weeks old to provide individual immunity against Newcastle disease.

RECOMMENDED DOSE AND SCHEDULE
The primary course of immunization includes two vaccinations, a first dose and a second dose after 4 weeks (booster). Each dose is 1.0 mL and should be administered by subcutaneous route to the dorsal part of the bird’s neck, observing aseptic precautions.
An annual booster immunization is required not more than 1 year from the primary course.

CONTRA-INDICATIONS AND WARNING
There are no known health hazards associated with this product. In 1% of vaccinated birds, a small swelling at the injection site is observed. The swelling recedes after 2 to 3 days. DuPa vaccine should always be administered in the dorsal part of the bird’s neck and not near the leg as it may cause lameness for a couple of days.

There are no known health hazards associated with this product. In 1% of vaccinated houbaras, a small swelling at the injection site is observed as well as fever for only 1 day. The swelling recedes after 2 to 3 days. Houbarapox vaccine should always be administered in the dorsal part of the bird’s neck and not near the leg as it may cause lameness for a couple of days. Ideally, vaccinate birds not younger than 8 weeks. There is no previous experience with the vaccine in younger birds. However, if younger birds need to be vaccinated, vaccinate only few birds and observe for any side effects for 2–3 days.
