Aintree Everyday Vitamin & Mineral

A fully comprehensive vitamin and mineral supplement. Essential for  optimum health and immune support.

Complementary feeding stuff, suitable for all horses and camels, irrespective of age, breed or workload and is particularly recommended for those on restricted diets, box rest or those receiving small amounts of concentrates.

  • High levels of macrominerals and microminerals are essential for the maintenance of the skeletal and soft tissue systems.
  • A broad range of fat soluble and water soluble vitamins are vital for general well-being and the function of body systems.
  • Probiotic maintains gastrointestinal health and immune support.
  • Can be mixed with water for easy feeding.

Providing essential vitamins and minerals
In current times of modern agriculture and limited grazing, few pastures contain the wide range of grass species needed to  provide horses/camels with essential vitamins and minerals. Pasture, forage and limited concentrate feed can no longer be relied upon to provide adequate levels of these nutrients. In such situations, there is a greater need for a daily top-up of vitamins and minerals to ensure that your horse or camel is receiving a full complement.

Aintree Everyday Vitamin & Mineral Supplement provides generous amounts of macrominerals calcium, phosphorus and magnesium, suitable amounts of the microminerals copper, manganese, zinc, iodine, cobalt and selenium, as well as
electrolytes. It also provides fat and water soluble vitamins including biotin and vitamin E. The addition of a probiotic helps maintain a healthy balance of beneficial microflora in the gut.

Note: If required, Aintree Everyday Vitamin & Mineral Supplement can be mixed with water and administered orally with a syringe. If in doubt about the health or condition of your horse or camel, you should seek veterinary advice.

Aintree Foal Milk Substitute

A mare’s milk substitute containing essential vitamins, minerals, and protein for healthy growth of the foal.

Complete milk substitute, suitable for orphan foals, foals receiving insufficient mares’ milk, foals at weaning, and older and adult horses in poor condition. Foals grow at an exceptional rate, therefore requiring a vast amount of nutrition, which in the first six months comes almost exclusively from the mare’s milk. There are enormous risks involved when mare’s give birth, and many complications can occur which will affect the amount and quality of the mare’s milk; rejection of the foal by the mare, mastitis, etc. It is therefore essential, that mare’s milk is replaced, with a high quality milk substitute which closely matches the mare’s milk, in order for the foals nutritional needs to be met, ensuring that it receives the best nutritional support for correct growth and development.

  • Aintree Foal Milk is a high quality foal milk substitute with a composition carefully matched to mare’s milk. High quality skimmed milk helps minimise digestive upset, essential in order to avoid further gastrointestinal stress.
  • Aintree Foal Milk contains a balanced ratio of calcium and phosphorus to ensure controlled quality growth, helping to reduce future risk of developmental orthopaedic diseases.
  • Aintree Foal Milk provides a broad spectrum of vitamins and trace minerals at tailored levels to support normal growth, and maintenance of body systems.

Aintree Iron Energy Concentrate

Iron rich liquid providing ‘blood building’ ingredients, ideal for horses and camels in hard work or training. A boost for those animals/ horses & camels who are suffering from anaemia, stress, fatigue, lethargy, loss of appetite or decreased performance.

  • BIOAVAILABLE IRON counteracts a deficiency and aids the production of red blood cells.
  • Vitamins B6, B12, and FOLIC ACID counteract a deficiency and ensure normal red blood cell formation and survival.
  • BIOAVAILABLE COPPER helps the formation of collagen and elastin to maintain blood vessel wall strength.

‘BLOOD BUILDING’ NUTRIENTS
Blood composition is a good indicator of health in the horse and camel due to its role as a transportation system, carrying  nourishment, vital substances, gases and waste material. Red blood cells must be produced continuously in the bone marrow and are crucial to the transport of oxygen to all tissues of the body.

In certain situations, red blood cell production may become disrupted, which may result in fatigue, lethargy, decreased performance or loss of appetite. During times of stress, such as hard work or training, old age, growth and illness, nutritional support may be required to maintain normal red blood cell synthesis.

Iron is required for the formation of haemoglobin in blood and myoglobin in muscle. The levels of iron in a typical diet are generally sufficient, however, availability can become reduced in some diets. A deficiency of vitamin B12 specifically reduces the functionality of red blood cells and this vitamin is also needed to maintain
adequate supplies of the active form of folic acid. Folic acid is necessary for red blood cell formation and maturation and a deficiency can contribute towards anaemia. Vitamin B6 is involved in the formation of haemoglobin and again deficiency is associated with anaemia.

Copper from a natural source promotes the effective absorption of iron and is involved in the formation of collagen and elastin, both important components of blood vessel walls.

Note: For horses and camels in hard / competitive work, feeding Aintree E 1000 & Selenium is recommended, in order to achieve optimum performance and help avoid reduced stamina, premature fatigue and poor recovery from exercise. If in doubt about the health or condition of your horse or camel, you should seek veterinary advice.
