Keratex Cooling Gel is the perfect way to cool your horse’s muscles, tendons and ligaments after exercise. It is also an effective way of preventing heat and inflammation in horses on stall rest, or during periods of travel.

Warm legs are more flexible on the inside which can lead to pulled tendons and damaged ligaments. Keratex Cooling Gel is a great way of keeping your horse’s legs cool during or after exercise, stabling or travel.

Keratex’s unique Cooling Gel actually cools by evaporation, making it more effective than other cooling gels available in the market.

Keratex Cooling Gel does not contain menthol or camphor. Menthol and camphor simply temporarily numb the hot nerve receptors, which in turn enhances the cold nerve receptors, so the horse, and the person applying it, are given the illusion of a cooling effect. Keratex Cooling Gel will actually cool the internal structures of the legs with a marked difference in temperature, making it a safe and highly effective product.

Keratex Mud Shield Powder

Keratex Mud Shield Powder guards against the effects of mud and water on horses’ legs and body. It will thoroughly disinfect the skin areas as well. Unlike creams and ointments which contribute to further softening of the skin, Keratex Mud and Shield Powder allows the skin to breath while repelling water and mud particles.

During wet weather mud and water can cause serious problems which affect the skin on horses legs and body.

Keratex Mud Shield Powder has a unique waterproofing action which simply stops these problems before they start by preventing water from softening the skin. It is this softening effect of continual water saturation which allows mud particles to enter the pores of the skin and cause irritation, which can then lead to further complications. In addition to waterproofing the hide, Keratex Mud Shield Powder also contains a powerful disinfectant to maintain the skin in a healthy condition.

Apply daily by sprinkling onto clean dry legs and body skin. Rub well into the skin against the lay of the hair.

Use Mud Shield Powder to protect existing skin lesions. This will keep them dry and avoid further infection. Dry scabs will form and these should be allowed to drop off naturally.

Keratex Nail Hole Damage Repair

Keratex Nail Hole Damage Repair is a great item for your grooming kit. Using the specially designed precision nozzle, simply squirt the liquid into new, old or stressed-looking nail holes to flush them with this instant cleansing and repairing solution. Once you have flooded the nail holes, the liquid gets to work, flushing out and repairing the nail holes, also cleansing and hardening both the interior and the point where the nail entered the hoof, ensuring that existing damage, gaps or rips will not develop further and will not ‘ladder’ up or across the hoof. Keratex Hoof Wash and Soak

Keratex Hoof Wash & Soak is a unique and very economical wash or soak for the hooves and lower legs, which has been produced for those horses that would benefit from a cooling and cleansing ten minute soak or scrub.

This is really effective for

  • soothing legs in muddy conditions with a cooling soak
  • using in between poultice changes to keep hooves, legs, dressings and other equipment clean
  • maintaining effective frogs

A one litre bottle will dilute in plain water to make 125 litres to give you plenty of scrubs or soaks for your money. Simply add a capful of Hoof Wash to half a bucket of clean water and you will find that this product will really go the distance for you.

Keratex Hoof & Leg Scrub is formulated especially to wash horses’ wet and muddy hooves and legs. 

Keratex Hoof & Leg Scrub was developed in consultation with our own horse-owning staff, specifically for ease of use in wet and wintery conditions on the yard or in the field. Keratex 3P Hoof Repair

Keratex 3P Hoof Repair – This handy repair kit will imitate natural hoof horn to replace missing foot and help retain the hoof’s correct balance after injury or damage.

This advanced DIY repair kit has been developed to replace and repair missing hoof horn or fill in troublesome cracks. After thoroughly cleaning part of the hoof that you want to repair, mix the paste as per the instructions and use the spatula to apply. The epoxy resin paste will adhere to the area you want to repair, giving you a semi-permanent filler which mimics natural hoof horn. Coxitabs – Tablet Treatment for Coccidiosis.

Active Ingredients Diclazuril 2.5mg
Dosage and Administration One tablet per pigeon, regardless of weight to be placed in the mouth. To facilitate dosing, the pigeon should be held by a second person. The tablet should be gently pushed through the opened beak and throat as far as possible into the gullet. All birds in the same loft should be treated simultaneously to prevent re-infection by untreated birds.
Contra Indications and Warnings For use in pigeons only.
Do not administer with drugs that may cause vomiting.
NOT FOR USE IN PIGEONS INTENDED FOR HUMAN CONSUMPTION.
Birds should be treated when mated and again 3 – 4 weeks later in order to prevent infection of nestlings.
Birds should be treated following transportation to shows or races where they may be exposed to contaminated cages, baskets etc.
Wash hands after administration of the tablets to birds and after clearing waste from treated birds.
Storage Do not store above 25°C.
Store in a dry place.
Keep blister in outer carton.
Keep out of reach and sight of children.
Further Information Coxitabs can safely be administered to pigeons during the breeding season; the product has no adverse effects on the condition of the nestlings. In order to reduce the risk of re-infection following treatment, good management and hygiene practices are essential, in particular regular cleaning of the premises to remove pigeon excreta.
If signs of disease persist or appear, consult your veterinary surgeon.
