Keratex Hoof Wash & Soak is a unique and very economical wash or soak for the hooves and lower legs, which has been produced for those horses that would benefit from a cooling and cleansing ten minute soak or scrub.

This is really effective for

• soothing legs in muddy conditions with a cooling soak

A one litre bottle will dilute in plain water to make 125 litres to give you plenty of scrubs or soaks for your money. Simply add a capful of Hoof Wash to half a bucket of clean water and you will find that this product will really go the distance for you.

Keratex Hoof & Leg Scrub is formulated especially to wash horses’ wet and muddy hooves and legs. 

Keratex Hoof & Leg Scrub was developed in consultation with our own horse-owning staff, specifically for ease of use in wet and wintery conditions on the yard or in the field. The simple to use spray on and leave on trigger spray really takes the hassle out of your routine in muddy conditions. The spray foams on contact and can be scrubbed or sponged onto hooves, frogs, soles, heels and pasterns, or then left on overnight to dry. It does not need to be rinsed off. The bottle has a special silent spray action for spooky horses.

Keratex 3P Hoof Repair – This handy repair kit will imitate natural hoof horn to replace missing foot and help retain the hoof’s correct balance after injury or damage.

This advanced DIY repair kit has been developed to replace and repair missing hoof horn or fill in troublesome cracks. After thoroughly cleaning part of the hoof that you want to repair, mix the paste as per the instructions and use the spatula to apply. The epoxy resin paste will adhere to the area you want to repair, giving you a semi-permanent filler which mimics natural hoof horn. Keratex Hoof Gel gives hooves total protection from the harmful effects  of water damage. When hooves are exposed to excess moisture – from muddy/boggy grazing, stabling or  climate – they start to deteriorate and soften. This can lead to hoof breakage, cracks and soft frogs, punctured soles,  thrown shoes and abscesses.

Keratex Hoof Gel will guard against water damage. It provides a safe, fully breathable barrier against  incoming moisture and completely protects the hooves from the damaging effects of excess  moisture by stopping excess water from being absorbed. Used before turn out, stabling or in rainy spells, Keratex Hoof Gel is proven to strengthen  hooves and prevent further water damage from occurring. Once applied, water will form droplets on the hooves and simply slide off , much like rain
off a waxed jacket or water off a duck’s back.

Most problems resulting in hooves cracking and losing shoes are caused by the effects of water and ammonia. Keratex Hoof Gel protects the whole hoof capsule by providing a barrier against adverse environmental influences acting on the integrity of hoof horn.

Normal hoof oils and greases offer little protection against environmental damage. Once they come in contact with ammonia from urine, they become water soluble emulsions which are quickly washed off, allowing both water and ammonia to permeate the horn.

To maintain a healthy hoof capsule, Keratex Hoof Gel allows the horn to breathe.
