  • Vitamin D for a shiny, healthy coat and for efficient absorption of calcium and phosphorus.
  • Omega-3 fatty acids maintain skin and joint health.

An all year round top up
Aintree Cod Liver Oil is a natural source of vitamins A and D. Vitamin A is essential for bone growth, immune function, cell division and testicular and ovarian function. It is also beneficial for skin and mucous membranes. Vitamin D, the ‘sunshine vitamin’, is essential for the absorption and utilisation of calcium and potassium, which are required
for skeletal growth.
Aintree Cod Liver Oil is also rich in Omega 3 fatty acids which can help
maintain joint function, especially in horses susceptible to arthritic
disease and also promotes supple skin and a rich glossy coat. The
addition of Aintree Cod Liver Oil supplement to feed helps to reduce
dustiness and aids mixing of the feed.
Note: Aintree Cod Liver Oil supplement will provide a source of slow
burning energy for ‘fizzy’ types, used in conjunction with a high fibre, low
cereal ration. If in doubt about the health or condition of your horse, you
should seek veterinary advice.

Equilibra® 500+Omega 3

Equilibra 500 is designed to complement the natural high fibre diet of all horses and ponies by providing a combination of digestive aids, essential vitamins and minerals, essential fats and oils and natural antioxidants.

When fed on a daily basis, Equilibra 500 provides two crucial roles, which are beneficial to both the horse and the owner:

  • Through the conditioning of the digestive system, the horse is able to maximum the utilisation of nutrients it is receiving from its feed.  The effect often allows the owner to maximise on less expensive feeds (such as grass and hay), whilst allowing the horse to thrive on a more natural forage/fibre based diet.
  • During periods where the quality of forages and grazing are low, the fortified vitamins and minerals within Equilibra 500 ensures that the horse receives the correct daily minimum to maintain condition, health and vitality throughout the year.

    Equilibra 500 Feed Balancer:

  • Maximizes the digestion and absorption of nutrients from all foodstuffs, particularly those from forage/fibre based diets.

  • Provides optimum daily vitamin and mineral content.

  • Contains high levels of Omega 3 to support optimum health, fertility and performance.

  • Minimizes the potential threat of harmful toxins or other antagonists.

  • Contains 10 active nutraceuticals, including: Actisaf Sc47 live yeast, concentrated yeast derived oligosaccharides, hemp oil derived omega 3 fatty acids, microscopic toxin binder, oat bran concentrated soluble fibres, prebiotics and a blend of galactolipid emulsifiers, tocotrienol antioxidants, beta glucans and phospholipids.

  • Contains natural and powerful antioxidants.

  • Contains the Oatinol Delivery System to maintain a healthy digestive tract and a high rate of absorption of essential nutricines, vitamins and trace elements.

  • Is wheat gluten free.

  • Is a 100% Non GM, soya free formulation.

  • Is manufactured as very palatable and easily digested 2mm pellets; perfect for mixing with horses’ normal feed.

  • Is quick and easy to feed.

  • Is recommended to be fed with Fibregest, Alfalfa Soya Oil and Tiger Oats as part of the GWF Nutrition Equine Feeding Guide.

  • Contains the Oatinol Delivery System.

Oatinol is a natural high quality oil based concept developed by and unique to GWF Nutrition.  When incorporated into the feed it supplies four active nutraceuticals to:

-Maintain gut cell integrity.

-Maintain the lining of the gut.Support the immune system.

-Support the immune system.

-Aid the absorption of active ingredients, vitamins and trace elements.

 Contains 10 Active Nutraceuticals;

  1. Actisaf Sc47 Live Yeast

Actisaf Sc47 is an EU approved live yeast culture that helps stabilise conditions in the hindgut and maintain high levels of microbial fermentation activity to improve overall fibre digestion.

 2. Concentrated Yeast Derived Oligosaccharides

Oligosaccharides provide a feed source for beneficial bacteria and support the natural expulsion of antagonists found in feed and the environment.

3.  Hemp Oil Derived Omega 3 Fatty Acids

Hemp Oil is probably the best source of Omega 3 fatty acids found in the plant world. This unique combination enables the animal to produce other essential Omega 3 fats called EPA & DHA, both of which are normally only found in fish oils and are crucial for maintaining the natural anti-inflammatory action of the body.

 4. Microscopic Toxin Binder

A blend of microscopic absorbent compounds that aid the natural expulsion of antagonists found in feed and the environment.

 5. Oat Bran Concentrated Soluble Fibres

Soluble fibres contain betaglucans that support natural self-defence mechanisms in the bloodstream.

6. Prebiotics

Prebiotics provide specific nourishment for friendly, fibre digesting bacteria to maintain good digestion and release of nutrients for growth, breeding and performance.

7. Galactolipid Natural Emulsifiers

Galactolipids are a combination of sugar and fat molecules that create the perfect medium for the absorption of active ingredients across the gut wall.

 8. Natural Tocotrienol Antioxidants

Tocotrienol antioxidants are a natural form of vitamin E.  They are 40-60 times more readily available than other forms of vitamin E and help to maintain the integrity of the cells forming the lining of the gut to aid absorption.

 9. Oat Derived Beta Glucans

Beta Glucans have prebiotic properties that support beneficial bacteria in the gut to promote healthy absorption.

 10. Phospholipids

Phospholipids have emulsifying properties and have been shown to actively influence nutrient digestibility and absorption.
